Graduate sonny is headin’off to more beer & adventurous poontain-laden pastures to study electronic media broadcasting and music composition (all a furthering of his past several years of liberal arts study) and mama-&-I want to put a new laptop in his hands for the trip.  Now…really I know what the MacBook users have to say (and it’s all true, every word you will utter, peanut butter) but, after what’s gone down this eight months, that poker is far to steep for me; we’re looking to spend around a G.  So here’s my query:  Who dbisly can recommend a laptop with enough operating whirl, RAM & soundcard & blam & stuff to give this kid enough toolage to go to a big tightfisted school & write words & edit frames & record algorithmic melodies at a breakneck pace? If you wait too long to reply I will probably have already bought something inferior as we’re just this close to a new Toshiba Satellite 355 chassis with very good carry case and stand. ..Again, I mean no disrespect to the Mac users of film and music industriousness and appley-pomposity as you surely hold the key and the cup …but the key’s too heavy & that cup won’t sup for the likes of me & my pretty in this juncture of our earthly-basis…uh…doohickey. 

*Oh…and sorry for the “poontain” reference, ladies; as surely he’ll continue bumpbumping into intelligent warm-souled & sporty adventurous young women of girlpower & inspiration far-far from any and all random sexual references and rad adages of a clichéd nature ~~ bad dad!
