asked my bud about the Bluebird, and this is what he said:

Pretty small, shared tables, drink or food minimums of around $8 per person. No table chatter! Some shows have a cover, early ones (6pm) don't. It's pretty non-descript from the outside, tucked in a strip mall in the Green Hills section of Nashville.

Performers play "in the round," which isn't like seeing Def Leppard in the middle of the Dane County Coliseum. Instead, it's 4 singer-songwriters taking turns playing their songs on acoustic guitar (or keyboards) and joined in on the chorus if their cohorts know the songs.

Lots of celebrity photos on the walls from the folks who got an early start there--and those early promo photos are a hoot. Shelby Lynne and Steve Earle look pretty different now.

It's a cool place. We took the girls there last spring and we all loved it. Antsy to get back, just haven't made it happen.
