I am now of the mind to blame Reagan for the whole mess, knowing full well it is ridiculous to blame just one. He, after all, was the father of the homeless by closing all the mental health institutes he could and putting the residents out on the street. Killing a mocking bird wouldn't have bothered him in any way.
