some of their songs are great... many are just weird or experimental... lots of looped sound bites.

the U2 song that srb mentioned is also a funny story. they released a goofy "still haven't found what i'm looking for" single which was not at all endorsed by u2's label (island?). the single used casey kasem outtakes where c.k. swore and ridiculed some overly sentimental "long distance dedication" segment. casey kasem also did not endorse the project.

a very quick lawsuit killed that song, and did severe monetary damage to SST records... (this is the version of the legend that i've heard. i haven't confirmed it yet.)

i had a copy of the rare original, but some U2 fan took it, thinking it was a U2 album. it was pretty much made to look like one...
