The brazilians spent on this project would have been so worth it had the obligatory sin-
dustrial con-plex and the Torture 100 CEOs not usurped an equal amount in their indi-
vidual booty-take for the year, ..leaving how many million actual people, thee facking
people, ..roiling in the fear, uncertainty and doubt of how to get their families and their
own asses through the next few months of runaway price increases and the truth about
our economical realities on the streets. So there’s where I get off the bus ..on NASA’s
costs. At one time, when the pie was more viably cut, ...when folks hung-out around the
west coast pools and the Midwestern porch swings…while the kids played kick-the-can
and moms & dads dreamt-on of boat-drinks on mediocre inboards @ the small river inlet
dock clubs, and pensions weren’t ..a forgone conclusion and regulated heating fuel was
affordable, and people worked a hard 40 hour week to play hard on the weekend, etc.,
that was a fine time to cry, “Go NASA! Make us Wonder…show us Space!” But
nowadays…it leaves me feeling flat when I know how many are turned away.
Cool pictures, nevertheless.
…
thought I saw a hippy-peasant with a sack of oranges waving an Anarcho-Syndicalist flag
in photo 22 ..or maybe that was a Monte Python bit or a daydream about an alternate ‘90s.
