Wish I could have provided you with a video feed of my own night last night. In our area, on Sat and Sun, a local public radio channel plays nothing but blues. So earlier this week, the big plans were to tackle the Christmas lights on the homestead, cook some cheap steaks on the grill and sip some spirits while listening to blues.

Well, the spirits turned out to be Wild Turkey 101, the steaks got burnt, and good ole Dad ended up taking not only a short fall off of a ladder, but also in the back yard while grilling the steaks. Luckily, the fall off the ladder occurred on the secluded side of the house and the fall while grilling when dark.

So tonight, with Dad again at the controls for dinner, while the plan was for some chicken wings, the little ones keep pleading for Dad not to burn supper again.......pleading enough where Dad just got lazy and ordered pizza.
