For me it comes down to one simple thing: I’ve lent Sheryl Crow an honest ear, got one
melody stuck in my head for ONE day, heard several other songs..on or about the waves,
…frankly, nothing, really…nothing has endeared itself to me ...enough to really even care.
It’s just a simple fact. But…..David Baerwald’s aging material remains (timeless) on our
spin rotation…in the house, the cars, a son’s touch ipod, introduced to nurses (new fans)
on the ward, in our heads when there’s silence, affecting our own poetry & songwriting;
…some artwork just simply stands the TRUE test of time. & some other…well…doesn’t.
Not that there’s no hope it will one day. But, the simple thing is … it hasn’t yet. So be it.
