I'm sorry that your experience went that route. The rituals, etc. that I experienced were almost done tongue in cheek. No physical hazing, no threats, no violence, just a bunch of guys in robes standing in the dark with candles chanting Greek phrases that were supposed to provide some level of profundity to 18 and 19 year olds. Some houses were much much worse, I have a feeling ours was more like going through a Masonic ritual than anything else.

I look back now and laugh at most of it, and would happily have my son go through the same thing in a few years.
