Though I can't ever fathom what it must be like to sit by when a partner/spouse is going through what you are, I can relate to the financial aspect from watching what my own Mother went through. From a young age she busted her ass for low wages and worked herself up to good wages as an Hospice RN. Then, just when she finally started to enjoy the fruits of her labor, she had to go out on disability and developed leukemia. Near the end of her working career, she was able to sock away some money (to her a large amount, but to these Tiger Woods people, something you blow in one weekend) and then, had to go bankrupt just to be able to afford the $25,000 blood treatments. It made me sick to see her have to get rid of all of her assets just to become somewhat healthy again because otherwise, she was too "wealthy" to get treatment.Yes, let's all praise the American way.....Bless you MB and we all hope all turns out well...
