Are you suggesting impartiality on the part of the Supremes? Because it just ain't so ...

Each candidate comes complete with his or her own ideology. Why do you think the vetting process is such a clusterfuck everytime? Because every legislator wants a Supreme who will rule their way on the issues important to them and their constituents. They will interpret the Constitution according to their own filtering system, and predisposition.

And when you say that they chose Bush over Gore according to the law, which law are you referring to?
