Gene, since you mentioned it, I will too . . .

I have tried BBQ joints in a lot of places, including the famed Stubb's in Austin.  Not once have I had anything close to Kansas City BBQ.  Quite simply, Kansas City style BBQ is the best, with no close contenders.

There is one midwestern company that is not based in KC called "Famous Dave's," and they replicate that KC style that I love so well.  Very good.
