Interesting enough I just re-watched The Crossing Guard and I have to say I
liked it much better the first time. And I honestly think it was primarily
because I was watching it in HD. I just purchased a new HDTV and blueray player
and although the picture is fabulous, it makes some movies look, well fake. I
think CG worked much better on the lo-def of VHS, which added to the moody vibe
of Nicholson's life and the movie as a whole.
