I don't know how old you are or your physical condition, but for me a run in the morning carried the day without harm from stress or self-esteem imaginations confronted during the day.

Start out walking, a slow jog, more walking, another slow jog, before you know it you'll hit a pace where the good chemicals begin to flow and mitigate the bad ones.

You'll be surprised how well the feeling of such a small accomplishment can overwhelm.
