Having read David's post on my birthday present(I guess). I'm just a little upset with the way Bush is holding on to this story. His ratings are taking a major hit and are down in the 50's if I'm right. The question is whether Bush deliberately lied about WOMD and imminent danger to the US. To some extent I think he did. Case in point:

1. No WOMD have been found (none, nada, gooseegg)
Do I believe they existed? Absolutely they existed there is absolutely no question they existed. Was he(Sadaam) in the position to use them in a harmful way? This is the grey area where I think Bush pushed his luck. When he came in (Bush) he had it on the agenda to create a stronghold in the middle east to possibly be a imposing presence  for the surrounding countries. Maybe the decision was made after 9/11 I dont know but this was an ends to a means. Lets put this into perspective though:
1. Bush cannot ever be compared to the likes of Hitler, Stalin or Sadaam. That comparison is ludicrous
2. Was there any good that came of it? Of course but you'll never see the mainstream press report any of the good stuff that has happened as the people have become free
3. Do we need to get the hell out of there. Unless you can justify the cost with something in return (like oil) I would say hell yes. WTF are we doing there?

Unemployement and all may be high but if we suffered another attack on our soil you would not have seen this recession you would have seen (and still may see) a full depression. Remember the founding fathers did not put government in place to spoon feed the people, it was put in place for protection of the people. Military is paramount. Through the years socialism has creeped into America mainly through other countries but that is another story.....

How many of you Bush-defending Baerwald webcruisers are ready to call it a day? The house of cards is collapsing.

Bush is lucky that there is not a strong candidate on the Dem side or else they would play a threat. Not so this go round and he has infinite money to blow anyone out of the water on the campaign trail. However if the economy is still in the deep crapper around a year from now he could still be in deep caca. Signs are showing in the stock market of better things to come (I've made about $4000 in the past 3 months on about $15,0000) Buy Dell and Microsoft. they are getting ready to roll..................

Jury is out on Bush we will just have to wait and see what he is made of
