Icon Re: Heathcliffe, your recent revelations beg the question...

Having become friends in another venue, Messy invited me here, and I've never been sorry I came.

I had never listened to David's music, had never heard of him.

After a few months here, I was impressed enough not only with David's art, but with the caliber of the members here who were fans of his, that I bought two copies of Triage and gave them to two of my kids, one a professional guitarist, and the other a music lover whose opinions I value greatly.

I sent her Messy's essay on the Wall and Triage he wrote the other night, and am waiting to hear what her reaction to Triage has been.

The guitarist, who writes too, after hearing Triage, commented, "That's good songwriting."

We've not gotten together to discuss the philosophy of it.

I was a Curt Cobain fan. Soundgarden too.

Art, for me, has always preceded social movement. I've never been sure why, except that the artist's sensitivity to current affairs exceeds that of the rest of us, and he's able to warn us, in a sense, of what he sees.

Hence the importance of free speech. I ramble.

Four brothers came to America from England in the 1850's, and from one of them came my grandmother who bore my father. Mick may be closer than I thought. If he was born in Japan, in the 1950's, and migrated to England, he might well be mine. LOL
