Actually, it is not "PC", it's simply proper etiquette. My mother taught me to be respectful of others and their beliefs. As an example, i enjoy cussing, but when i'm in public I refrain because it is the polite thing to do.

Using a word as a pejorative which is primarily used to describe a particular group of people is not "unPC" it's simply poor manners and an indicator of a limited vocabulary.
