Icon U2's Manager's comments on digital music in Rolling Stone....

This guy had an essay in a recent issue of Rolling Stone (I'm too lazy to look for it) and was rambling on about how illegal downloads are hurting music artists and changes need to be made.

Now, that's not the beef I have about this issue - the beef I have with artists like U2 and the like is how all the time they bitch about music downloads, not one time have I ever read any compassion toward the fan that has had to replace their collections because of changing musical formats.

Their manager did not address this issue one time.

Hell, I bet there are people out there who have went from 45 to LP to 8 track to cassette to CD. (About all I'll ever admit to is LP to cassette to CD - even though when I first started buying music 45's and 8 tracks were popular - hell, how many people had to take a piece of paper, fold it and then find the magic spot between the 8 track tape and tape player to get ride of the muddled sound?).
