Heathcliffe, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, I read way too many comments on the news sites (CNN and MSNBC mostly), and the TPrs saw the Stewart/Colbert rally as nothing but "another leftist, elitist attempt to lie to the American public".The divisiveness in this country saddens me. The lack of a moderate voice makes me want to scream, then cry, then scream some more. All I can do is start in my own backyard and try as hard as I can to stick to the facts, to avoid generalizations and ad hominems, and first and foremost, to completely eliminate the phrase "Teabagger" from my vocabulary. It's a flimsy, shaky start. Maybe if enough others get there we may actually produce representation that reflects the electorate, rather than defining it.
