it's hard to imagine that they are THAT lazy, uninformed, and distracted. Yes, they habitually
vote against what is in their best interest, but this debt ceiling debate demonstrates how
profoundly duped they are. Why are these folks not rising en masse to demand that taxes be
raised on the wealthy in order to spare even greater cuts to the medicare and social security
programs that they count upon for survival? How does the odious Eric Cantor and his band of
thieves get away with it? Is this a case of the Stockholm Syndrome on a grand scale? Is it a case
of filtering all of their information through Fox News and conservative talk radio? It's truly mind-
