SHERYL CROW is famous because she is easy to package to the 25 to 40 year old demographic. All her best songs were written by someone else --- such as our esteemed Mr. BAERWALD.

The reason why I purchased some of her music, was mostly because she was an interesting footnote in the career of a man that I love and respect much more --- again, our esteemed Mr. BAERWALD.

This packaging of musicians like they were boxes of soap sitting on a store shelf somewhere is one of the major reasons why I have CD's and DVD's that represent the music of my youth --- not much of today's music speaks to me.

It is just the FLAVA DU JOUR --- and then, on to the next FLAVA.

I'll take JIMI over anyone from today --- however if you dig music like JIMI and STEVIE RAY --- then RUN (not walk!) to your local CD store and buy the music of JOE BONAMASSA. I played this guy for a friend of mine (Biker type) and he absolutely loved JOE BONAMASSA!

In fact --- anyone reading this, if you go out and buy the music of JOE BONAMASSA and you do not like it, I WILL PERSONALLY REIMBURSE YOU!! I am NOT KIDDING either.

I had a similar offer from another friend of mine that turned me onto BONAMASSA --- and I loved it so much, I bought a few extra copies --- and passed on the LOVE to others, who ended up loving this guy's playing.

Getting back to SHERYL CROW --- she sounds like an idiot when she does an interview --- if it weren't for the star- making machinery that launched her to the top --- she would still be doing bars and Holiday Inn lounges.

But, TNMC is and always will be a personal favorite. (Again, our esteemed Mr. BAERWALD!)
