I may be a little bit off-topic here, but I did want to mention that there is a treatment for opioid addiction that seems to go without mention most of the time, possibly because it is counterintuitive. And I'm speaking of the experience of others when I say this, so don't count on me as an authority . . . But Naltrexone shows great promise in treating alcoholism. The trick is, a person takes Naltrexone an hour before starting drinking, then drinks normally (whatever is normal for him/her), and over time, the cravings diminish. Friends have said that they now feel free to enjoy a beer or two, but it isn't necessary, and they can drink without going on a binge, as long as they take the Naltrexone an hour before starting.Anyone here know better/more than I do about this?
