I used to spend a lot of time on FB, especially on a lot of the stupid games they have (Ed and I used to PimpFight each other a lot I think...), but as time has gone by I've been able to change the FaceBook experience into an information gathering thing. A lot of the musicians, film critics, writers, etc. that I like have FB presences, and I can log on and see what is going on with them all in one place. I can check Ebert's latest review, then see what's up with John Hiatt, and then check the NYT best seller list, all in one place. Sure, I could do that with some other news aggregators and so forth, but then I also wouldn't be able to see what kind of lunacy my 14 year old nephew is up to. ;)
