Although I'm a card carryin' prog snob, I never listened to Radiohead for a long time. I heard the song "Creep" a few years ago and liked it but I never bought any of their cd's. Maybe it's because I smelled hype. Who knows? But I continued to hear critics and fans alike sing the praises of the band, especially "OK Computer" and it's Floydian references. Then I bought a copy on eBay. I've listened to it once and I didn't get it. Just not my cup of tea I guess. Atonal and dissonant are accurate descriptions. Too harsh for these middle aged ears.
I'll stick with Coldplay.
