I have very little patience for anyone who does not think this practice is not torture. For one thing, it is not "simulated" drowning. It is the act of drowning. But for those shallow people out there who think this is not torture, what I want to know is this: when a person is strapped down for this practice, just what message do you think is being sent to the person who is about to be drowned? Do you think that those about to be drowned are told, "hey, fella, this thing here will not hurt you, nor leave you permanently scarred or disabled. We're going to dribble some water down your gullet and when we quit, it'll be just like it never happened."No, the intent of the "interrogator" is to make the person about to be drowned think he or she is about to be drowned. These people are not told they will walk away from this act; they are led to believe bad fucking things are about to happen, so talk, so they won't have to happen. So Michelle Bachman and Herman Cain, give it a try you gutless assholes.
