I think over the years the board's political make-up has increasingly become even more
homogeneous (we've always been a pretty liberal bunch) and there are thus fewer heated
discussions. And that's not necessarily a good thing as the diversity that matters the most is
the diversity of ideas.
It also might be that no one ever really changes their opinions based upon message board
discussions, so what's the point of engaging in a time consuming back and forth. Care to
