Several years ago, based upon Ed's recommendation, I witnessed Ed Hamell (Hamell on
Trial). Holy smokes, it was a blow torch of a performance, provocative unlike anything I've
ever experienced. Imagine Bill Hicks gone punk and that roughly approximates it. Hamell's
electrified rants were exhilarating, thought-provoking, shocking, crass, and incredibly
hilarious. My wife would never sit through such a show, and bless her for understanding
why I am sometimes drawn to such bizarre displays.Peter T.
