Icon When in Rome...

So a few months shy of my 40th, I will be venturing off the African continent for the first time. I have to attend a conference for work in New York in May, and I have managed to persuade them to let me bring the Missus, and we're staying for an extra week to do some touristy stuff... We're starting to get really excited about it.

My biggest dream won't happen this time, which was to see Bruce & The E Street Band live, specifically at Madison Square Garden. (They play there in April!) What we've booked so far is a bus trip which takes us from NY to Washington DC, Philadelphia and Niagara Falls. Last night we looked at booking a Yankees game... That would be one off the bucket list, seeing the Yankees play at Yankee Stadium. (sorry Andrea!) We're hoping to go to Baltimore to see 'Gene, and also want to try meet up with a good friend who, we met when she came out here for the Soccer World Cup in 2010. She is in Nebraska though, so we may have to fly there if we can afford it I think.

I can't imagine we won't do the usual NY things like the Empire State Building, Ground Zero, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island etc.

Any ideas, suggestions, do's and don'ts my beloved fellow DBIS'ers?
