What's up with that shit? I wish I could answer you... I can't see anything more than simple shock tactics. Someone told me recently that I was 'the most conservative person he knew' which surprised me as I never saw myself that way. But my reaction to something like this makes me think that perhaps he was right. See, I know these people. Not personally, but who they are, how they grew up... And I think that deep down they are saying "let's see how long we can pull this off for and make some money while we're doing it" It takes no musical ability, no soul.
To give you an idea of an Afrikaans artist I LOVE, check this out... Karen Zoid. One of the top live acts in this country right now. And man, can she play a guitar...
