i acknowledge before mick and his trolls come out from under their bridge or barrel or whatever that i pulled this in its entirety from the huffington post, but i nonetheless hope it goes viral...

If all this money flowing in actually works to buy this election and Romney wins, I think it's fair to say we can kiss the United States of America goodbye. Fascism will rule the day with corporations in charge. Y'all don't think those few donors who are throwing in all these millions aren't going to expect something in return for all that cash, do you? Have we seen any evidence that Republicans ever do things out of the goodness of their hearts? They respond to money. Just look at the records of all the top Republicans and see who their donors are. It's all Big Oil, Big Pharma, the banks, the food industry, the health insurance companies, etc. These mega-donors aren't going to give their millions without expecting something in return. No one would. So what will they want? Do you think it will be helpful to you personally if they get what they want?

Before you cast a vote for any Republican, ask yourself, what have they accomplished for the country (if they are an incumbent), what are their plans other than to "make government smaller," which is code for getting rid of things like Social Security and Medicare, and what makes you think what they have in mind is going to help you, your city, your state, or your country? Really, it's important. We can either go along like sheep and allow ourselves to be manipulated by all the propaganda all this money can buy, or we can reject all that, think for ourselves, and get a government that's actually of, by, and for the people. We still have our vote, at least most of us, and we'd better make sure we exercise it or this time it could put us in a heap of trouble. Everyone knows a low voter turnout means Republicans can win, hence the voter suppression laws they passed under false pretenses of voter fraud. Are these the kind of people we want running our government? Really? Those of us who can vote better do so.

I'm done talking now. (Love Bret Erlich...)
