For the most part, I think you're right, but there are some exceptions. Some of the hyperbolic invective
directed at the last President Bush came from a very similar place to the Pat Robertson-like behavior
you cited. I don't think the problem is so much with the right as it is with the evangelical right. Their
world view lends itself to blaming "sinners" for bad happenstance. I think that's a bunch of B.S., but
what to do?
