It was over thirty years in the making and last Thursday I saw the reunited Graham Parker and The
Rumour in Boston. Holy shit, those guys got old! They started out, well, pretty slow but once they hit
a bunch of songs from Squeezing Out Sparks, they were cooking. The audience was almost entirely
bald guys with beer bellies. I've never felt like I was the youngest at a concert until then. I even had
the pleasure of chatting with Graham's daughter at the merchandise table. Lovely gal, must have her
mom's looks! I can't say the new CD is calling me back for repeated listenings. If you've never heard
this stellar combo, do pick up one of their many "best of" discs. From 1976-1980, there were among
the finest bands on the planet. Here's the guys as they look today:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA_cpfZ3_oQPeter T.
