In this world of death, pain and mayhem, there is once in a great while a ray or two of light. Despite the recent rain in my heart, with "brother" Dan's passing, I had a very wonderful, and I would say spiritual weekend in North Ontario, at "brother" Wayne's cabin on Jack Lake (our version of China Lake, but probably much more isolated). It was a mixture of joy with the amazing beauty of the place, but also some melancholy at times for me, with thoughts of Dan breaking in, but I am grateful for those thoughts. Got to start a song about Dan, the tune of which, at least had been kicking around in my head for years; finally put some words to it, called it " Whenever I See You Again", but more on that later.
Now, ahem..reason for this post. Good news for these doggies, and what a wonderful way for these li'l critters. Also, what a wonderful way for the prisoners. Why don't we get EACH ONE of them a pet to love and to hold, and get rid of all that hate and rage they have become accustomed to living with? Just a thought.
Happy reading for the day.
