RS's subscription base has been pretty stable for the last couple of years. All print media is suffering when it comes to their rate on ad sales, but RS isn't this failing dinosaur that its critics like to claim.

Having said that, I don't get the furor. It's a picture, probably from someone's cellphone. There are people out there who think that RS actually had a photo shoot with the kid and are trying to influence public opinion. It's actually a pretty good piece by Janet Reitman and available for free online.
