Well said, EEE. I don't think I would be strong enough to offer such forgiveness. Perhaps I haven't
sufficiently evolved. I think back to that Amish community which had the strength of character to
forgive the homicidal maniac who executed so many of their children at school a few years back.
Perhaps if one has faith in an afterlife, or in a benevolent deity, one is more inclined to offer such
forgiveness. I'm increasingly disinclined to believe in either, hence my lacking the capacity to
forgive something on the magnitude of apartheid or a mass shooting.Peter T.
