Thanks, Messy. If you click on the title of the video in the upper left it'll open the video in a new page
and from there you'll be able to see some information I wrote about the video in the description. I've
also got a link there to Gene's website and a link to the route of my ride. The ride was down along the Minnesota River bottoms about 10 miles north of where I live. It's a whole
other world down there that until two years ago I had no idea existed at all. I've been strictly a road
biker since the mid '70s but the world of mountain biking, or in my case, fat-tire riding opened up to
me two years ago and I fell in love with it. My riding is still primarily on the road during the warmer
months but once the leaves have fallen and the snow begins to fly i get my beauty and a beast out and
hit the trails. It's impossible to ride that bike and not feel like you're 15 years young again! The idea for videoing some rides came from my reminiscing about rides I did when I lived in San Diego
in the '70s and how it would be so cool to have videos from then to look back on. I didn't want to get
30 years down the road and find myself saying the same thing about this period in my life. I started
videoing some of my rides a few years ago, first by just using my Droid but I eventually purchased a
GoPro that I have mounted under my bars. Yeah, Gene's music works well with the scenery out there. I hope to have a couple more of his songs
grace my videos in the near future. He does such a nice job! Did you get his CD he released a couple
years ago?I contacted db to get his okay to for a song of his on a video and he said he'd like that. I've done
several now and I think you'd maybe enjoy those as well. Here's a link to my collection of ride videos on
my Vimeo channel.https://vimeo.com/album/1465211Yeah, no doubt we were all pretty good at pushing one another's buttons back in the day, Messy. Hah!
It's what made this such a happening place back then. Our diversity is what kept us coming back for
more.Kevin g
