Marc,With all due respect, how did you ever come up with this statement:"But no...everybody thinks that by removing that flag that you removed racism in right?" I'm not
sure what your last two words, perhaps you were rushing, sir.No thinking person would ever equate the removal of the flag with the removal of racism. Racism
sadly cannot be completely eradicated, but meaningful steps forward can be taken and this was
one of them. I won't rehash Reg's brilliant analysis but you might want to read it again. And yes, in
the days of the Civil War, the Republicans were on the side of the angels. Things sure changed
once civil rights legislation was passed in the early 60s. Peter T.
