The above article offers up an eye-popping statistic:

Since 9-11, 784,000 refugees have entered the US, and only 3, yes 3, have been charged with terrorism-related offenses.

This isn't the narrative that much of America is hearing. Truth is in short supply when the political stakes are so high.

If we resort to “Fortress America” i.e. keep ‘em out, what impact will this have on our European allies whom we count on for a whole host of things? What message do we send about our reliability as an ally and as a moral force for good? Germany, with a population which is 25% of ours, is accepting 800, 000 and we’re scared to accept a mere fraction of that.

What message does it send to the 5-7 million Muslim Americans? It’s astounding how few Muslim attacks there have been on the homeland since 9-11. There are Muslims in our military, law enforcement, and intelligence services. We rely on average citizens them to monitor their own communities. One can only wonder how many plots have been foiled owing to the allegiance shown by these Muslim citizens.

ISIS must be reacting with glee at the venom poured out by politicians against Muslims. Talk about aiding the enemy.
