Maybe what I am saying seems like conspiracy theory because I am saying
we are being steered toward a single candidate but the truth is that's
what is happening. Right out in the open. Maybe I have watched and read
too much on this election cycle but I mean, it seems totally twisted the
things the Republicans are saying about their leading candidates. I
understand nobody liking Ted Cruz and Donald Trump but I would think the
Republican establishment would be sort of quiet on the subject as they
are in the middle of a major election...but they are not!
I mean have you heard or read Republicans talk about Trump and Cruz?
They
can't stand them and they are not hiding it. They are openly searching
for ways to create a contested convention. John Kasich, who seems a
pretty reasonable and decent guy, has gone the same way each of the
preferred candidates of the RNC went...once they picked him as their
guy...well...none of their voters will vote for him. Literally, the death
knell for a Republican candidate is to get the open backing of their
party in this election. It quickly sunk Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, and now
honestly the best candidate the Republicans had on their ticket this
year, John Kasich.
The Republicans are so screwed in this election it is hilarious.
Their
own voters have been giving them the finger through the entire process
and honestly, I can't blame them. Donald Trump is having a field day with
this and a large part of why the voters like Trump is because he pisses
all over the Republicans and mocks them in the same way Republican voters
want to. The Donald is saying what they want said.
The Republican party is in such a mess there have actually been
conversations about splitting the party into two separate parties in the
future. Now it's just talk but that's how screwed up they are. They have
come to the realization that while they can win state elections they are
not going to win a national election again. Not without some sort of
major catastrophic event.
What sort of event? Maybe the Democrats leading candidate getting
indicted during or after their convention. Or maybe having Hillary
Clinton actually elected president and then impeaching her and turning
her presidency into an ugly disaster.
The truth is if anybody puts the Democrats in a position where
something
horrible could happen it is Hillary Clinton.
I know you don't believe Hillary could get indicted but the Democrats
have already planned for it. They have had conversations with Joe Biden
about stepping in if an indictment for Hillary does come down. So, they
would go with Biden over Bernie if that did happen...or at least try to.
I would hope there would be a huge ugly fight if that takes place.
The DNC wants Bernie about as much as the RNC wants Trump or Cruz.
And it
is a fact, not a conspiracy theory, that they have done all they can to
sink his campaign. Including having Democrats come out and say outrageous
bullshit about the Sanders campaign being a "danger" to women in the
Democratic party. Which most certainly was a strategy dreamed up by the
Clinton campaign.
"I apologize for saying in my last post that your argument is not
based
on logic. It is. It's based on a logic to fit your narrative."
First, no apology required and second I am not creating my own
narrative.
"If Bill gets impeached it's because the republicans despise him."
Ah, they do despise him but he was impeached for his own arrogance
and
stupidity...a Clinton trademark. He created a situation where they could
get at him, that's primarily his own fault. He knew they could not stand
him.
"If Hillary wins it's because the republicans are helping."
Do you think they are not helping Clinton when they openly announce
they
would rather take cyanide than elect their own two leading candidates? Do
you think they are not helping Clinton when they say things like you
could kill one of their own candidates on the Senate floor and nobody
would convict you? Do you think that they are not helping Clinton when
they call one of their own leading candidates Hitler, Lucifer, or a
fascist? Do you think they are not helping Clinton when they openly
announce they have no way to win this election and Hillary is certain to
be the next president? Do you think they are not helping Clinton when
they ask Rubio to use Trump style attacks against Trump to try and knock
him down? Do you think they are not helping Clinton when they say they
will back the Republican on the ticket but admit they won't be a good
president? One of the Republican debates was nothing more than an open
hit on Trump by the RNC to try to destroy him. It was hilariously over
the top and they even wheeled in Dubya's daddy to glare at him the whole
time because Trump had recently destroyed Jeb and made derogatory
classless comments about basically the entire Bush family. Gore Vidal
could not write sweaty overheated purple prose that would have outdone
that actual debate. The truth in this case being if not stranger at least
as lively as any fiction.
"But if she loses vis-a-vis an indictment it's because of republicans
orchestrating her downfall."
Well, had they not subpoenaed her for her emails because of the
Benghazi
witch hunt they may not now have her under FBI investigation for her
private email and server. So, that is again not a conspiracy it is just
what happened. Like Bill though she created that situation for herself
through blatant stupidity and arrogance. Nobody made her set up her
private email and server to store and transmit classified information
from an unsecure location, attempt to keep this a secret, then delete
half her emails as soon as she discovered they wanted to see them, then
give the server to a company not authorized to have it, and give
classified information to both that company and her attorney who also was
not authorized to have it...all of these things constituting crimes that
would immediately cause her to be unable to ever again hold a top level
security clearance...hence making her automatically unqualified to be
president of the United States.
"Or Obama won because the establishment backed him although Hillary
and
Bill are the establishment."
They are a heavy influence on the establishment and yes, the DNC
backed
Obama...again, not a conspiracy just what happened.
"My head is spinning from the contortions."
Really, there are no contortions.
"The thing is Reg (and Messy you muppet) - is I don't necessarily
disagree with the fact that Bill and Hillary have amassed considerable
power within the democratic establishment and are wielding it gloriously
in this primary season."
They are and they are more desperate this time because Hillary can't
wait
another 8 years to run again. All the chips are on the table for her
right now.
"What I don't agree with (and frankly consider in the bin of
conspiracy)
is this grand scheme you envision of a lust for power and greed foisting
Hillary upon us."
The media and the DNC and the Republican establishment all seem
pretty
united in the idea that Hillary should be the next president. I am not
inventing that. The media has always treated Bernie like a joke and as
soon as they saw he actually presented a challenge they wanted to portray
him as a crazy old man that does not know what he is talking about with a
bunch of nasty sexist followers...frankly, they could not be more
ridiculously biased and full of shit.
"Reg - she's overwhelmingly winning the popular vote among registered
democrats."
Dan - as much as you think I am creating conspiracy theories it seems
to
me you are repeating Clinton campaign talking points. That's one of them.
They keep talking about how she is "winning" (Trump does this too, they
seem to like his playbook) but the fact is that lead comes from "winning"
states in the South where they hold some crazed idea that Bernie lives in
the Kremlin and black voters have no clue who he is. Once all the voting
is done I'm pretty sure the popular vote is going to be pretty close.
"And what you call a seemingly sure bet being postponed by Sanders -
I
see as the democratic process. He's no sacrificial lamb lying down."
Nor should he be, it is important to keep him in the race because he
keeps the focus on what needs to be accomplished and he has energized
voters in a positive way that no other candidate has.
"He's fighting - winning some and losing more. But that's what's
supposed
to happen."
Yes, and it is a good fight, a righteous fight that has meaning and
is
about actually turning things around in our country.
"In the end Reg - she's winning and he's not. And that ain't no
conspiracy."
Sanders won again yesterday in Indiana. Thankfully, voters in Indiana
have not thrown in the towel on Bernie. No, there is no conspiracy...all
of the things I have discussed are just what is taking place.
