I've mentioned Bob Hillman a few times over the years here and I know, who the hell is Bob Hillman? He's been out of the musical game for over a decade but he recently released a partially crowdfunded CD, Lost Soul, which was produced by his hero Peter Case. I chipped in my share and, although I haven't been bowled over by the new tunes, I had an opportunity to see Bob a few weeks ago in Cambridge on his "nationwide" tour. Alas, he only appeared four places. His voice is certainly an issue for some, notable Mrs. Peter T., but he's one of my favorite lyricists. It was great seeing him after such a long absence. He opened a few of the shows for Ed Lorah favorite, Dan Bern (who was terrific). Anyway, here's some new Bob Hillman for you. What da ya think?
