Last week, I saw this very reasonable conservative on television being interviewed and he made the observation that even he was concerned about this rise in a white nationalistic movement in America under Trump and how Trump has emboldened this crowd.

So, to me, that was a very telling comment and observation. I went into work and politics and Trump came up, so I mentioned this man and how interesting and troubling it was for a white, male conservative to make such a statement and one of the people I mentioned this to exploded. He went on to a rant about how why is it okay for blacks, blah, blah, blah and blah, and I told him that he was missing my point - that I was not trying to start a debate on what type of movement is okay or not okay, but that for a white, male conservative to express concern over this rising Trump-underbelly-white-nationalist was something not seen or heard before.

His thinking was so rigid I couldn't get him to understand the point at all. So rabid in the white-male, victimization fantasy here in America.
