"Come one, Reg, she's not a Republican."

Actually, today I think she is THE Republican...and the many people that actually call themselves Republicans...I'm not really sure what they are.

I will clarify...when I think of a Republican I think Eisenhower and Nixon...not the fucking fruit loops we have now. I know that sounds like I am living in the past...and maybe I am...but these guys we have now, Nixon would laugh at and Eisenhower would spit on in disgust. Which oddly seems to be what Clinton did to Trump in the debates.

"She believes in evolution, human caused climate change, higher taxes on the wealthy, funding planned parenthood, retaining gay rights advances and the Iran nuke deal."

I think she believes in whatever is beneficial to her politically at any given moment. So, if tomorrow she thought it would be best to support killing all the dolphins in the world she would immediately support the death of all dolphins. She was against gay rights advances until it became better for her to be for gay rights advances. What I have read is the first 100 days of her presidency is going to be all about pleasing the Republicans and so expect her to promote that as "reaching across the aisle."

"She'll nominate justices to the Supreme Court that you can live with."

My guess is that she will nominate someone like Merrick Garland, that pleases Republicans as well. Obviously, Obama did that specifically because Republicans claimed to like Garland but also said they would block any nomination until after the election. So, he obviously was screwing with them.

"Have you checked out the odious positions and beliefs of Mike Pence? Holy shit, he's bat shit crazy!"

Exactly, and not what I would call a Republican. Not sure why the Republicans allowed their party to become associated with stupidity, hysteria, and ignorance as it is not a great platform to run on. Nor has it worked out well for them.

"On every issue that means something to you, THAT guy is GOP on steroids!"

Well, the lunatic wing of the GOP, yes.

"And remember, even if we take the senate, the house will remain under Paul Ryan, and he's scared shitless of the Freedom Caucus so not a lot is going to get done unless it's by executive order."

Yes, this is another one of the items I think Republicans and Democrats fully agree on...GRIDLOCK. They love it. They love creating it for as long as possible because if they are gridlocked nothing gets done, no votes occur on things that might haunt them in an election, and business as usual can continue.

Plus then both sides can sit there pointing at the other saying "Gridlock, gridlock, gridlock."
