I'm not a Sam Harris fan. However, what he is saying at the start is
true.
What we have here is not a choice, instead we have a mandate to stop
an
epic loon from getting elected...and yes, the loon is Trump.
This is truly something worth looking at. Most people I do believe
are
caught up in the emotion and overwhelming hysteria of this election. So,
their obsession lies with one or the other winning the election so we
don't proceed right to the end of days after November 8th.
The majority of the country finds both Trump and/or Hillary
candidates that
will destroy us...and in some ways they already are because they are
tearing us apart and making us point fingers and scream insults at "the
other side" whichever side it is that you may be on.
To me though there are bigger questions than who is going to win this
election. Mainly, right now, and really throughout the entire process the
favorite to win has always been Hillary Clinton.
Not because she is a great candidate...she may in fact be the worst
candidate the Democrats have ever run...but because the cards have been
stacked in her favor in some truly outrageous ways.
I mean Trump is certainly the one candidate that Hillary could be
running
against that is so "Oh my god" awful that he actually makes her look
good. Even a horror show like Ted Cruz would probably not have this
effect to this extent...but Trump is, honestly, a deal closer.
When he became the candidate Hillary's chances to be our next
president
skyrocketed. Combine this with the fact that once he became the
Republican candidate he immediately drove his campaign off a cliff and
told everybody they could go fuck themselves including the Republicans
and even his pal and fellow scumbag Roger Ailes.
Trump is warming up a new television venture. Does not even want to
be
president and could give fuck all about his "fellow Americans" or anybody
else not named Trump. He basically says as much every damn time he opens
his mouth and economically he has threatened to destroy our country to
make a more advantageous situation for himself.
It blows my mind that there is anybody left that could vote for the
guy.
What he has done to the Republican party is more than disastrous. So,
a
much bigger question to me is...and I don't care if you hate the
Republicans...what is going to happen to that party.
They appear to be done winning national elections. What Trump and
other
nutjob mouthpieces for the party have done over the last several decades
is pretty much alienate most of the country and leave them with a
shrinking base of only white, very angry, and more and more helpless and
potentially dangerous loons.
The Republicans have become an embarrassment to the country.
They can have a few last gasps. Work feverishly to impeach Hillary
once
she is elected. Try to use hatred of her to get more seats in the house
and Senate. But the truth is even their own voters don't trust them and
don't want to vote for them.
So, what happens next?
The Democrats hold the cards but they don't seem very interested in
being
Democrats. They seem to want to be some sort of mutation of Ronald Reagan
and Bill Clinton...that basically continues the trend of keeping the rich
rich, the poor poor, and the middle class in a spiraling death struggle.
