So, it only took a few days for all the garbage he wound people up with
to get thrown out the window.
1. He is not going to build a wall on the Mexican border, his people
pretty much immediately admitted that was not feasible and they were
going to instead back a plan (that was already in place under Obama) to
"extend sections of chain link fence" in areas where it is possible to do
so. So, not on private lands and waterways obviously. But how can you get
people at a rally to chant "Let's add a little more chain link fence!", I
mean "Build the wall!" just sounds better.
2. He is not going to prosecute Hillary or Bill. He already admitted
that
was just "tough campaign talk" and that he thinks the Clintons are "great
Americans and good people." so all those "Lock her up!" chants at the
rallies were just show business.
3. He is not going ban Muslims from entering the country and he is
not
going to do mass deportations of anybody. Backed off that as well...turns
out he was just pulling your leg on that. Oddly, it seems Trump may have
more issues with Jews than Muslims which is why that Bannon guy is on the
team. Plus supposedly one of the reasons that Trump got more votes from
Latinos was because under Bush there were 2 million illegal immigrants
deported...under Obama, the Democrat, they deported 2.5 million. So, the
theory is Latinos may have been more unhappy with Obama than the
Republicans. According to what I am hearing Trump plans to lower that
number drastically...gee, do you think he is "rebuilding" the Republican
Party to appeal more to minorities and blue collar Americans? That would
create a rather massive shift in the voting demographics and believe me
the Republicans are looking at that right now.
As an aside here I recently saw Eric Holder speaking to Bill Maher
and
right off Maher says to Holder Democrats lost because they have
"forgotten how to be the party of the working man" and Holder did not
even attempt to argue that. He just said "Yes, that's one of the
reasons."
And sadly, it's true. There is no argument to be had there. The DNC
seemed to be trying to tell all of working class America and millennials
to just shut up and fall in line. Honestly they came across as totally
clueless about how crappy a campaign they were running.
4. Is Trump planning to appoint Supreme Court justices that would
overturn Roe v. Wade? Not at all he says he wants to keep Roe v. Wade in
place and so do his daughters. Not happening. So, no he has no plans to
"punish women" that have abortions. Just "campaign talk."
5. During the campaign Trump caught wind that Hillary planned on
asking
Jamie Dimon from JP Morgan Chase (you know one of those Wall Street
banker guys she loves so much) to be Secretary of the Treasury, he
immediately called him "one of the worst bankers on the planet" and a guy
that should be "nowhere near the Treasury or government"...OK...so who is
the first guy Trump reaches out to for Secretary of the Treasury? Yup,
Jamie Dimon...who hilariously turned Trump down because he knows now that
there is going to be a lot of money to be made under president Trump so
why go screw around as Treasury Secretary under a guy that will probably
be the most hated and despised president in our history and have to be
forever tainted with that...when instead you could be out raking in the
cash because Trump is going to attempt to remove even more regulations to
favor these greed monsters.
So what will these people that wanted to "throw the grenade" actually
get? Well, he will wipe out or rework the Affordable Care Act which will
wipe out healthcare for 20 million people. He claims on the same day he
does this he will put in place a "beautiful" and "amazing" healthcare
solution...BIG CLUE HERE: When Donald uses "beautiful" and "amazing"
watch out because that means he is not telling the truth and/or has no
idea what will happen.
They will also get regulations that protected them and the
environment
from corporate barbarians completely gutted. So, all rights and
protections for workers, safety in the workplace, protections against
pollution and improving standards like gas mileage for vehicles, any
attempts to regulate Wall Street and the big banks from again raping and
destroying the country...well...all gone. Hooray for your team! Basically
anything that was in place to help grow and protect the middle class and
slow the flow of all money and assets into the hands of the wealthiest 1
percent...forget all that. Donald's plan to "Make America Great Again!"
is to make the fabulously rich even richer and make sure they don't have
to deal with any pesky regulations that might get in the way of them
doing so.
So, yes, those poor working class stiffs who live in the rust belt
and
voted for Trump hoping he would "drain the swamp"...well, he will drain
it right into your backyard and when the fabulously wealthy flush their
golden toilets that too is now set to flow all over your head.
I could go on but what's the point? Trump lied his ass off to
rile
people
up and win an election...it was just business.
Doesn't matter now anyway. People on both sides of the aisle are
acting
like assholes and are completely full of shit. From media idiots like
Rachel Maddow blaming Jill Stein and Gary Johnson for Clinton losing, to
people blaming Sanders for running "too good" of a campaign in the
primary, to blaming working class voters that have been fucked over, to
blaming Latinos, millennials, and women for not turning out for
Hillary...and then you have the fun idiots that want to take their state
and secede from the USA. What a fucking joke this has all become.
Neither "side" has any right to the high ground here. This whole
thing
has been all about making people angry at each other and blowing up the
country. I love watching the media act like they had nothing to do with
this and Trump winning.
All these clowns talking about how Clinton "won the popular
vote"...which
is the same nonsense they kept promoting in the primary as well...and so
now let's get rid of the electoral college...WAKE UP! (Note: What you
should know is that Clinton's presence as the Democrat likely drove up to
7 million voters away from the polls and caused millions more that would
have voted Democrat to vote against the Democrat - this is the truth
about why she lost - so it was not Comey, or Latinos, or women, or third
party candidates, or millennials that caused her to lose. Had the
Democrats run pretty much anybody else that "landslide" Democratic
victory people were predicting likely would have happened.)
The Democrats lost in the Senate, the House, they lost all over the
place. The electoral college is not the issue. The issue is the vast
majority of the country does not trust their government and both
Republicans and Democrats did nothing to change that. The one guy that
really wanted to change it, Sanders, got shit on.
Now, more people hate each other than ever. And Trump is right off
starting by shitting on all the armed nut jobs that chanted nonsense at
his rallies. Let's see how this goes.
For the record, guys, this is my last post here. I'm done. I do not
feel
I am adding anything here anymore and I have reason not to be here
anymore. It has nothing to do with any of you guys here. So, it is not
your responses to me or anything like that. It's time for me to go. Dan
is a great guy and his kind response to me up above is much appreciated
but I don't think I should post about politics or our current state of
affairs here anymore.
So, feel free to respond to this but I won't be following up. Our
country
elected a man that is probably going to cause some major issues for us
and things could very likely get much worse. Particularly since he poked
a hornet's nest of violent armed angry people...who are quite likely to
turn that anger on him. So, I wish you all the best. Stay strong and hang
in there and remember Trump has only been given 4 years...we can survive
this and elect someone better.
Electing Trump was a desperate act by a desperate populace who felt
like
they really did not have a choice. About 80% of the people that voted for
Trump felt he was the wrong man for the job. Sadly, the Democrats failed
to do what they should have and give people a real choice.
