Icon Self-Deception and the Domestic Terrorist

So, sure I don't have an issue with people's personal self-deceptions. Whatever gets you through the night as the song says. If people want to pray...great. Prayer is a private thing. If it helps you fantastic. I don't mean to be critical of people that want to spend their time praying as if they are praying they likely are not shooting at people...unless they pray in some unusual ways. I mean I don't think Jesus, to pick on him because why not, would advocate members of his flock leaving the house strapped. I don't recall any section of the New Testament where Jesus says something along the lines of "And all my father's children shall not leave the house unless they go well-heeled."

I do think some modern Christians confuse Jesus and John Wayne.

My issue is politicians and all these propaganda spewing mouthpieces telling people after a shooting they should not be talking about what should be done to prevent these things from happening but rather we should all just retreat to prayer. Pray for the victims, the families, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray...don't discuss, don't take action, just pray.

The people that say this are truly monsters. They are our enemy, the enemy of your children, your family, your friends, anybody you care about and they are as dishonest as the day is long.

After one of these shootings is exactly when we should be taking action and discussing how to prevent this from happening again. Why? Because human beings will fail to act in most cases until they absolutely have to...and the only time they will feel that they have to is right after one of these mass shootings. This is why they go right to PRAY, don't do anything, don't talk about it, PRAY.

I find this disgusting and reprehensible. These mass shootings are acts of domestic terrorism perpetrated by heavily armed people that our government and everybody that makes and sells guns have done all they can to arm.

They love these mass shootings, their sales and stocks rise, you can't keep a bump stock on a shelf now and they can't make them fast enough to keep up with the crazed demand...because you know one of these "good gun owners" wants to break the last guy's record and shoot more than 600 people next time. A mass shooting is just advertising for the gun industry. It just makes the gun nuts want more, more, more.
