Lovely share, Ed! What a gift you gave to your friend. And you have to wonder, how many other brilliant
artists are out there, toiling in relative obscurity owing to the challenges of geographical distance and the
economic constraints of touring. Not to mention (though I will) the stratification of radio, the fickleness of
the public's musical appetite, and many, many other things that compete for our attention. It's wonderful
that Dan's creation has provided a forum for sharing our individual passions. I wouldn't have seen Dan
Bern were it not for your stellar recommendation (and some music you sent my way). And, correct me if
I'm wrong, but I believe you are the man who pointed me to Hamell on Trial. For the uninitiated, Mr. Hamell
is a guy who everyone should experience at least once in their life! Imagine a punk version of Bill Hicks,
hammering away on his beaten up guitar, but without Bill's choir boy looks, THAT'S Hamell on Trial! Funny,
vulgar, provocative, and did I say funny?Peter T.
