Currenlty, I'm reading Night Film by Marisha Pessi and it is an interesing novel, especially in its written style.

It's about a disgraced investigative reporter trying to discover why the daughter of a celebrated, reclusive film director has seemingly taken her own life.

While reading the novel, it makes me feel like I'm reading a video game...I can't think of the acronymn used for the role player type games, but that is what this novel feels like to me - the main character goes around looking for clues and along the way meets interesting characters that slowly reveal parts of the puzzle.

It has also made me wonder if it will ever be possible to create a truly, fully enhanced multi-media book. With the advent of e-readers, it seems to me that almost all senses could be included in reading a novel - sound could follow the turning of pages - for example, say the characters are walkling through pine trees at night in winter to a house down the road. With each page, the sound could be added to mimic the surroundings. Visuals could also be included when necessary.

Or does something like this already exist?
