It is now a 1 party system. Gerrymandering has sorted the districts so successfully that regardless of opposition the Republicans will always win the majority. They will control all state houses soon. They will eventually control all federal seats with a few progressive exceptions ie.. CA. NY. Democrats will be regarded as a minor nuisance that Republicans will have to deal with by swatting them away like pesky gnats. The only hope is the Supreme Court requiring re-districting. Ooooppps. Controlled by Republicans. I can understand how all the hillbillies (Threatened White Males) felt disenfranchised by the likes of the Clinton's but their decision to elect Trump is parallel with torching your neighbors car and burning down your local drugstores, and supermarkets, while looting the closest Best Buy because you're pissed at a dumbass cop that shot one of your kids.
