Great article, as I would expect from Andrew. He's more than just smart, he's wise, and humane.I can't imagine the burden that you and your family have endured, heathcliffe. Sad beyond words. Too often,
society sees those with such addictions as exhibiting some sort of a moral failure, some weakness of
character. You have powerfully refuted those simplistic and hurtful reactions. As to D/VM's response, we
weren't all born with his foresight, steely resolve, and pain threshold. This is public health emergency. Given the minuscule quantities involved in getting the user high, it's
impossible to control the smuggling into the country. In the accompanying video, Sullivan makes the case for
legalization, and I can't criticize his logic. Again, heathcliffe, you've educated us and hopefully opened a few
hearts and minds to the complexity of this issue. Peter T.
