Icon It would be something to ask Marc, but what the lies have done is the story...

I don't know how Trump supporters feel about his lies because...honestly...it's getting pretty difficult to find one. At least anywhere around me. I know they exist obviously but my guess is their numbers are dwindling to just the hardcore "I could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and they would still support me!" crowd.

Of course, I'm always optimistic that people will not believe blatant lies...and my optimism is often not rewarded.

Anyway, Trump's trail of lies has actually become a wide path of devastation resulting in firings, subpoenas, indictments, lawyers quitting, lawyers needing lawyers, and implicating everybody around Trump in a constant shifting cover-up that makes every one of them look guilty as hell.

Due to the fact that Trump can't and won't shut-up...he's tweeting, going on Fox and Friends and having a meltdown...his lawyers are absolutely screwed. Hence, why he keeps losing lawyers and is having a really hard time getting new ones.

I'm a bit confused as to why Bill Clinton's former lawyer, Emmet Flood, has agreed to come on board. Trump is a hopeless client that will stab his own lawyers in the back and is not going to take ANY advice. The word is they had to beg Flood to join the team and it took months of negotiating to get him. Well, good luck to Flood as Trump almost certainly is already calling him Elmer Fudd and he already sat down with Rudy and they had a private meeting about what Giuliani should go on Hannity and say...which neither Trump nor Rudy discussed with anybody else on the legal team nor with anybody else in the White House.

Rudy is Trump's kind of guy...reckless and just looking to stir up the media and foul the waters. Mission accomplished but that crap that Rudy and Donny cooked up was a really bad idea and probably has deepened the amount of trouble Trump and Cohen are in.

First off, Cohen said "with absolute certainty" that Trump NEVER PAID HIM BACK THE $130,000. Now, Rudy comes out and says he did and he did so by laundering the money through a law firm. It appears that what they did was just go back and look for whatever money Trump paid Cohen and then just decided that constituted paying him back with the idea that it would get them out of the campaign finance violation.

The issue with this is they now have to prove that the $130,000 was specifically part of whatever payments he made to Cohen, showing exactly how that amount was accounted for, and now likely due to that what any other amounts paid to Cohen were for. Trump's idea seems to be to say that there was an open "slush fund" for Cohen to draw from to make hush payments or bribes and that he personally did not know what Cohen did with the money. This is not a good way to go.

Plus there is a paper trail according to Clifford's (Stormy Daniels) lawyer that states that the payments were specifically campaign related and so they will still be charged with campaign finance violations for this...not to mention the trail that shows they were trying to hide all this if what Rudy said was true...which I'll admit I have my doubts about.

So, all this lying is basically hurting Trump and everybody around him. I don't know why Giuliani would be stupid enough to have involved himself in this and the way he is going I can see him not being around long. The rest of Trump's legal team is furious about what he did on Hannity and they want the guy to shut the hell up but obviously he has agreed to be Trump's mouthpiece.

I keep thinking this can't get anymore stupid but Team Trump keeps proving me oh so wrong.
