I agree with your analysis of Happy Valley and The Fall. Last night, after reading your recommendation of
Long Shot, we checked it out. Thought provoking and it only clocked in at 40 minutes. Dead penalty
proponents should see it!My wife and I were thoroughly disappointed by the much praised The Death of Stalin and Phantom Thread.
They weren't on Netflix but Red Box had them. God, they sucked! I'm sure we're in the minority here, but hey,
we don't get the appeal of Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino flicks. On the documentary front here are three we liked: Wild Wild Country was indeed a wild and somewhat long
view of that wacky cult that took over an Oregon town in the mid 80s. The Battle of Chosin highlights the
brutal effects that winter had on both sides of the Korean War, and finally, The Race Underground was an
informative look at Boston's subway system construction project. Peter T.
